Nigel Farage QUITS Ukip – Former leader says party now ‘UNRECOGNISABLE’
Writing in the Daily Telegraph, Mr Farage said: “And so, with a heavy heart, and after all my years of devotion to the party, I am leaving Ukip today. There is a huge space for a Brexit party in British politics, but it won’t be filled by Ukip.” Mr Farage said Ukip is now “unrecognisable” since he joined the party in 1993. The former Ukip leader explained how his party was too “obsessed with Islam and Tommy Robinson”, deviating from Ukip’s agenda which aimed to focus on fighting elections. Mr Farage added: “My message was very simple: one of the reasons for Ukip’s success was that we’d excluded extremists and focussed on organising and fighting elections.”I warned that any change to this policy would damage the party beyond repair. I have long been an admirer of Nigel Farage and believe he could have been a unifying figure for our Great Nation.

However, he seemed to have lost his way… or perhaps he was only ever a one trick pony!

Had he, like Gerald Batten and Anne Marie Waters looked deeper in the hearts of the everyday citizen and understood the real issues and fears people face then his commanding style and intellect could have been a force for good.

The EU is just one battle, a major one granted but not the only one. We have a plainly corrupt and disdainful political class and social injustices unparalleled in our modern history. We have a media and civil system that will not, or dare not, broach the truth about the real threats to our society but you have remained conspicuously silent on these matters. Thankfully, true patriots such as GB, AMW and TR have stood up to be counted despite the onslaught of the establishment and extremists. None of these people have advocated violence or racism or bigotry, words so easily spread by the nonces that feel obliged to inform us. These figures have rapidly become the voice of the people not the voice of their ego.

I thank you for your efforts (for which you have been richly rewarded) but it is now time to let others serve the people.

When Nigel quit as leader he said the party was finished because it has served its purpose, now he's angry that it clearly isn't finished and as found a new purpose as well as the old purpose.
